SB state of mind...

Hello Spring Break!!!  For some of you... not me!  Thought I would try to get into the SB state of mind though.  This little romper is too cute!  Perfect with a floppy hat and wedge sandals strolling around the streets in the bright sunshine with lemonade in hand.  I picture my SB's when I was in school... I would go visit my dad in NOLA and we would spend days downtown  walking around the French Quarter.  Oh to have a week in the spring where I could get up and go!

This is also one of my favorite styles of jeans... the Ginger by 7 For All Mankind.   It's a wide leg denim... so nice and sophisticated.  I have them but I must wear heels because I have thighs and wide leg denim usually accentuates the thighs while making my legs seem shorter.  Hmm double negative... never good unless you throw on a pair of pretty heels!  Enough negativity for now!  They are a great cut... and the wash is my all time favorite!  It's Los Angeles Dark... that may not mean much to some of you but for those of you who speak "7" you'll understand! ;)  Love LADK!

This little beauty was in one of my emails last week from Free People.  It's cute and casual and absolutely perfect for Spring!  Will I order it???  Probably not... I love waiting to see if F21 will come out with a less expensive version of higher priced goods from my favorite websites.  This is one of those items!

It's still coming down!  I believe we've hit about 8-10 inches so far.  There's so much snow that my car got stuck... yes stuck!  I was not happy!  After about 30 minutes of trying to get unstuck I finally got out... barely but I got out.  What did I do after that?  I ran to Wal-Mart and bought a shovel!  I will not let the snow stop me again.  :)

Correction... 13.5 inches.  Old Man Winter I wish you could read my mind.

So... we were supposed to go to the Black Eyed Peas concert tonight.  That didn't happen due to the arctic storm that moved in late this afternoon.  We got half way there and turned around because the roads were too bad.  Anyways, this is my building late this afternoon.  Thank you first day of Spring for the 4-8 inches of snow!  Why?

Goodness... it's been such a busy week!  I apologize for the absence but I really have had no time to sit down and blog.  Here's a quick recap and then I must go once again... still busy.

Spring Floorset is complete!  For those of you who understand the visual world you will know what I'm talking about.  For those of you who don't know... trust me, it was a feat.

Cheer/Pom tryouts for my little sister... she made Varsity Pom as a sophomore!  I'm so proud of her!  

Sleep... working on catching up!  Working overnights and sleeping during the day doesn't work out so well for me... especially when I'm cheering and dancing the hours lil sis wasn't in school.  I had yesterday afternoon off and slipped into a minor coma... did again last night as well. 

The weather has been beautiful so Cody and I went fishing at the river last night when he got off of work... I caught 4 and he didn't catch any!  It was kind of funny because I have no idea what I'm doing.  I just throw it in the water and reel it in.  That's all!  Although, I do tend to feel bad for him because when I do catch a fish he has to get out of the water and take it off of my line. I'm not touching those slimy, smelly things.  Gross!  :)  Don't worry... they get safely placed back in their home.

Now, can't chat too much... I'm late meeting my mom and sis for a girls weekend in Tulsa.  We're going to see the Black Eyed Peas and shop!  Fun!

my shoes...

My shoes came in!!!  They're actually really comfortable too.  I highly recommend them if you're on the hunt for a nude patent flat.  They're perfect for Spring with dresses or even jeans.  Although, since they are so demure I would pair them with a statement piece... whether it be a beautiful top, floral dress, or even basics with a stunning necklace.  These shoes are, in essence, a pretty little base for you to create a million different looks.

I love Spring!!!  I bought the hat and shoes above... Madison Marcus is a bit out of my budget but I was browsing through and thought it would be a great match for my two new accessories.  Love the combo but I might need to shop around for a different little dress!  

As for the hat... I have been looking for this exact hat for over a year.  It was in store around the time I bought my infamous yellow hat but it sold out before I could get it.  I think I scared my sweet little associate when she pulled it out the box... I was incredibly overjoyed and might have gasped entirely too loud... as if I had seen a tragic accident or something.  {sometimes I feel I can be a bit dramatic/overenthusiastic about things I love}  

This lovely little hat is now apart of my little collection... still need to post about my plethora of hats... will do eventually.

Now onto the shoes... I know I posted about these the other day... but I must tell you a little experience I had Friday afternoon.  I was bored before Cody got off work so I ran to the mall to browse around.  I skimmed through a few stores and then ran into a ridiculous shoe sale.  {remember how I mentioned I get a bit overjoyed sometimes}  My head was spinning... I had 2 different shoes on my feet and 2 others in my hand... not to mention my shoes I actually wore into the store and my phone at my ear trying to call friends to share this lovely find.  After talking to 2 friends and then 2 ladies in the same aisle that were laughing at my excitement... I took a few deep breaths and walked away.  Yep... sure did.  It was hard until I walked right into the Michael Kors watch counter.  I had put the shoes on the back burner and gazed at the watches for several minutes.  Didn't touch... just looked.  {still holding out for my i-touch}

dandelions...

Remember these???  These lovely little flowers we loved to blow on and make a wish!  I used to love finding dandelions!  Well, these days I have a different relationship with this sweet little flower... I would say more bitter than sweet.  Why???  One word... allergies.

Don't worry though... they will not prevent me from spending hours upon hours outdoors this Spring!
