I'm not one to shy away from dip-dyed fabrics, wispy feathers, and a flower or two pinned in my wind-blown locks.  To fully embrace is the best way to get your fill for the season's best... wouldn't you agree?

let's talk about it...

Hello all and hello Monday!!  Looks to be my last Monday for a while... confused???  Yes I know... and yes I did.  I quit my job.  {technically I took the professional route and put in my 2 weeks}  Why did I quit my job???  There are multiple reasons for me leaving Forever21 and none of them are interesting enough to get into.  Do I have a new job???  Absolutely not and I couldn't be more thrilled!  I want a break and I'm going to do just that... I'm taking the summer off.  I plan to travel, focus on my clients, tend to the newly planted garden, enjoy the outdoors with my adventurous other, and take time to stop and smell the roses {literally - we're planting a flower garden too}.  I also have a plan as far as my career goes... I'll be working for my dad on and off and then take on full-force early fall.  {my dad has several companies in New Orleans that I will be remotely helping with - on the graphic design end of things}    

I do believe that covers all bases except for one I'd like to cover... I'll be taking on more clients than usual now that I have the time.   Feel free to contact me via e-mail for an appointment or information about services.  I'm actually about to pack a client to spend the entire Summer in Italy... I can handle a few more after she leaves.  ;)

Spring at last... time for flowy dresses and beautiful windy afternoons.  Be careful not to get yourself in a bind with previous combo... could be dangerous and a bit revealing.  Unfortunately, I do know from experience.

This week I was lucky enough to get to spend time with my family for a few days... dancing with my little sis to help prepare her for tryouts.  She killed it and landed herself on varsity for the 2nd year in a row!  {so proud}  While retreating at the rents, I ran across the itty-bitty number above... it was mine when I was 3.  My mom has kept several of my performance outfits but this just happens to be my favorite.

I've mentioned this lovely lady before, but her outfit above was too good not to share.  The color combo - perfection, that pant - to die for, that beautiful Stella McCartney blouse - need I say more???  I could mention that she was a major influence when purchasing my own wide leg ensemble... I went with black although I'm slightly obsessed with the olive.  {we'll see}

Hello, hello on this lovely Monday!  

The time has changed which means Spring is on the way... couldn't be more thrilled.  I can't wait to fully embrace the Spring fashions in the way they were intended... minus jacket, scarf, extra layer.  I am also more than ready to be outside.  C and I usually take full advantage of the beautiful days and nights whether it be hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing {him}... laying out on the bank of the river {me}.  We've planned a couple road trips already and I'm eager for the time to come when my wardrobe consists of a bathing suit, sunnies, and a hat.

Every six weeks or so my job requires me to work overnights... in which usually end up hanging from the ceiling, consuming entirely way too much caffeine, and the obvious - lack of sleep.  Needless to say, I'm in desperate need of a manicure, massage, and a long hot bath.  

Here's to a weekend of much needed relaxation...

Being on the cusp of Spring, I have fully embraced and incorporated new lighter pieces into my everyday attire - weather permitting.  Until it is sunny and 70 degrees, I must keep something on these arms.  If you're like me then you've already pushed all of your cardigans to the back of your closet with hopes to pack them away very soon... in other words - I'm beyond over cardis.  Due to my current disgust with the common staple, I've replaced them with lighter fabrics and new silhouettes for a more fresh take on the layering piece.
